Despair and anxiety have always been an intrinsic part of life on Earth. In times of darkness, as Christians we are to seek the encouraging words of scripture to provide strength, wisdom, and guidance about the love and truth of God. We are reminded of this when we seek counsel and encouragement from the Bible. Despite the misfortunes we may experience, there is always an opportunity to choose love and rise above resentment and fear. The Word of God reminds us of such truth and encourages us to believe in the goodness of life and God.

To assist you in finding biblical encouragement, this is a  small collection of encouraging Bible verses (NIV) you can reflect upon to grow your faith in Christ. May these inspirational Bible verses help you to rekindle the strength of your spirit and warmth of your heart.

“ So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Read Isaiah 41

Psalm 118:14-16
“The Lord is my strength and my defense (or "song); he has become my salvation.  Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: The Lord's right hand has done mighty things!  The Lord's right hand is lifted high; the Lord's right hand has done mighty things!"

Thanks, Rick, Tim and Rich for your encouragement and prayers for all of us. Their presence here in this blog was a buoy to me this morning to keep me afloat after awakening from a dream I would rather not have had was threatening to push me below the surface.

Thank you, brother Rick, for just a few of the countless reminders in Scripture that our God is mighty, powerful, loving, gracious, and merciful. He is always ready to help in the times of trouble, if we will just call on Him and keep our faith squarely in Him instead of all the troubles that surround us.
