Emerald Bible Fellowship: Impacting our community by making lifelong followers of Jesus Christ

Elders Update

Dear EBF Family,

Our desire as your elders is to lead us all into a deeper love for Jesus Christ and a deeper love for one another by directing EBF toward Jesus.  We believe that it is only in a continual deepening repentance from relying upon our own righteousness and a continual deepening reliance upon Jesus Christ alone that we all grow with the growth that comes from God.  We wish, and pledge, to work in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of God through teaching the Gospel, providing compassionate care, and to willingly give leadership under the guidance of God's Holy Word.  We acknowledge ourselves as weak men, with no special inherent greatness or position outside of Jesus. Thusly, we ask for your patience and above all your continual prayer on our behalf for our hearts to desperately rely upon and seek out Jesus.  Our authority comes not from our wisdom or position, but is only authoritative as it is in line with the revealed Word of God, the Bible.  We invite you all to join us in wrestling together to know God's Word in order to see God's heart and to worship.

In the future, we will be posting information on where the Holy Spirit is leading us regarding immediate and future vision for EBF and our growth as the body of Christ.

Your teaching elder,

Richard Roberts
